Overcoming depression together

The German "Diskussionsforum Depression" has been online since 2001 and is an important contact point for thousands of active users per month. During the relaunch, it was just as important to preserve the tried and tested as to use modern technologies and approaches. In order to avoid longer downtimes, we had to meticulously prepare the move and the data migration. For its users, the forum is an important pillar in the daily management of their disease. To date, over 605,000 posts have been made.

  • Website relaunch

    User-friendly navigation, clear messages and a modern aesthetic create a strong online presence. We developed the website with Sulu CMS and it is easy to use for the staff.

  • Forum in a new look

    The forum was set up in 2001 and has been online continuously ever since. With a complete software update including data migration, we have ensured safe and reliable operation for the future.

  • Redesign

    The association presents its commitment and activities transparently and accessible to all. The new web design was created by Knick Design. Reduced to the essentials, the forum and information on the disease are in the foreground.

  • Now also on mobile

    With the upgrade of phpBB, the forum gets an improved and more modern presentation for mobile devices. The styling was adapted to the design of the new website. This ensures the recognition value.

  • New content structure

    In the course of the relaunch, a new page structure was introduced. The menu navigation and page structure were redesigned and usability improved. Users can now find their way around the website more easily and reach their destination more quickly.

  • Donate via PayPal

    The integrated Paypal donation button supports the association in financing its projects. The button can be flexibly placed anywhere on the page. Paypal offers low-threshold access due to its familiarity and ease of use.
